CUSTOM PICKUPS
SOUND
Aside from a handful of "stock" pickups, we accept fully customized orders including bass, single-coils, and custom sets. We currently don't offer "stock sets" because the role of a bridge and neck pickup differs greatly depending on the players' intention and what type of functionality they require for a particular sound.
If you do want a custom set, we are happy to discuss this over email, and we will guide you in the right direction to make you a perfectly calibrated set. Pickups for multi-scale guitars are also possible, although we will require more information about your project
beforehand and may need exact measurements depending on specification.
If you're interested in a stock pickup, but want more or less output from them, every pickup can be wound to approximately
+/- 15 percent by volume, and we adjust magnets(orientation and size) accordingly to best suit your needs.
We also do rewinds. We can fully restore pickups with broken wire, or help you achieve a brand new sound with a complete overhaul and a new wind utilizing existing bobbins and magnets to keep costs down for customers on a budget.
AESTHETICS
Beta Blocker Pickups strives for a distinctive and original look when it comes to aesthetics from textured matte black bobbins to metal logo plates, We like to keep things simple for stock pickups, but welcome the opportunity to experiment and try new things. Just tell us what you have in mind, and we will make your vision a reality.
We encourage you to give your pickups a personalized look with original hand-etched quality nickel covers and custom designs, from your band's logo to a personal statement. Your design will be hand-drawn and then etched using a combination of acid and engraving tools. Each pickup we make is truly one-of-a-kind.
We do offer some variation with our stock designs, but these options are intended as a starting point for your fully customized pickup tailored to your playing style and sound. Contact us today with your design and configuration ideas.
